Original Item: Gas Masks made for the Spanish Civil war either in Germany or Spain but conforming to the German M.1930 Pattern. This M.30 Model was made from Rubberized Cloth with a tightening frame of soft leather. In 1938 the M.38 Mask was adopted using rubber for both mask and frame. Both models were carried in cylindrical corrugated metal Cans with a hinged cover. The earlier Cans were 25 Cm's tall but in 1941 the height was increased to 27.5 cm. Each mask comes with its detachable filter can and both are contained in the issue Carry Can. A scarce accessory that was used in the Spanish Civil war of 1930s era and later in AH?s Blitzkrieg.
